Tarutha Terms of Service

Version 1.1, 14 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Tarutha, the website at tarutha.co, the Terminal at app.tarutha.co, the API at api.tarutha.co, and the Tarutha MCP server. Tarutha is operated by PT Teman Bisnis Digital, Indonesia ("we", "us"). If you use Tarutha, you accept these terms.

1. What Tarutha is

  1. Tarutha is a data service for Indonesian capital markets. It provides end-of-day and monthly data, with the source, period and signal attached to each figure.
  2. Tarutha is not an exchange, a broker, an investment adviser or a data vendor licensed by IDX. Nothing in Tarutha is investment advice.
  3. Tarutha does not provide real-time or intraday prices, an order book, or tick data.

2. Your account and keys

  1. You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for that account.
  2. An API key is issued to you, not to your organisation. Do not share it. Keep it on a server. If a key leaks, tell us and we revoke it. Revocation takes effect on the next request. A key you created on the keys page you can also revoke there yourself.
  3. We may set a rate limit on each key. The current limit is stated in the API reference. Exceeding it returns HTTP 429.
  4. We may suspend or revoke a key that is shared, resold, used to scrape Tarutha, or used in breach of these terms.

3. Licence to the data

The licence to the data is in the Tarutha Data Licence, which is part of these terms. In short: use the data for your own analysis and products. Do not redistribute the raw data. Cite the source and date when you publish a figure.

4. Sources and accuracy

  1. Tarutha's data comes from public publications of IDX, KSEI, OJK, the Ministry of Finance (DJPPR), Bank Indonesia, PHEI, Yahoo Finance and Indonesian news publishers. Each source keeps its own rights.
  2. Equity prices are indicative end-of-day values. They are not adjusted for corporate actions unless the reference says so for a field.
  3. Data can be late, revised or missing. The API reference states the update time, coverage and known gaps for each dataset. Read it before you rely on a field.
  4. We do not warrant that the data is accurate, complete or fit for a purpose. You are responsible for any decision you make with it.

5. Fees

  1. Access to the Terminal, the API and the MCP server requires a paid membership. Prices are on the pricing page or in a written quote.
  2. Fees for paid plans are due in advance. We may suspend a key for non-payment after written notice.
  3. We may change prices with 30 days' written notice to the key holder's email.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  1. resell, sublicense or redistribute raw Tarutha data.
  2. mirror or bulk-download the service to build a competing dataset.
  3. scrape tarutha.co or app.tarutha.co, or bypass rate limits.
  4. use Tarutha to break Indonesian or other applicable law, including market-abuse rules.
  5. present Tarutha data as licensed exchange data when it is not.

7. Changes to the service

  1. The API is versioned in the path (/v1). Compatible changes can happen at any time. Breaking changes go to a new version. The change policy in the API reference applies.
  2. We may retire a dataset when its source stops publishing. We say so in the changelog.

8. Termination

  1. You can stop using Tarutha at any time. Ask us to delete your account.
  2. We can end your access if you breach these terms, after notice where practical. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded in that case.

9. Liability

  1. Tarutha is provided as is.
  2. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from Tarutha is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. If you paid nothing, our liability is nil.
  3. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profit, or loss caused by a source publishing late, wrong or revised data.

10. Privacy

The Tarutha Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. It is part of these terms.

11. Law and disputes

  1. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia.
  2. A dispute goes first to a written complaint to [email protected]. If it is not resolved in 30 days, either side may take it to the courts of Jakarta.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version at tarutha.co/terms with a new version number and date, and email key holders about material changes. Continued use after the date means you accept the new version.

Tarutha Data Licence

Version 1.1, 14 September 2026

1. What you receive

Tarutha gives you access to data that Tarutha has collected from public sources, normalised, and documented. Tarutha holds the rights in the selection, arrangement, normalisation, derived fields and documentation. The underlying facts remain public. The source publishers keep their own rights in their publications.

2. What you may do

Keys come with a paid membership. Founding members' keys, and keys under any later paid plan, may do all of the following:

  1. Use the data inside your organisation for research, analysis, risk, reporting and product development.
  2. Build derived works: models, screens, indicators, charts, reports and applications that use the data.
  3. Show figures and charts to your own clients, in your own product or reports, with the attribution in section 4.
  4. Cache the data you have requested for your own use. This includes downloading a table shown to you in the Terminal. Bulk whole-dataset exports are a separate right, granted only where your agreement says so.
  5. Let an AI agent or model you operate query the data through the API or the MCP server, for the uses above.

3. What you may not do

  1. Redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the raw data, in bulk or in substantial part, to anyone outside your organisation.
  2. Mirror the service, or build a dataset or API that substitutes for Tarutha, from Tarutha's data.
  3. Train a model that you distribute or sell on the raw feed. Training on your own derived features is allowed.
  4. Remove or hide the source, period or caveat fields when you pass a figure to a person who will act on it.
  5. Present Tarutha prices as licensed exchange data, or as real-time.

4. Attribution

When you publish a figure from Tarutha, cite it like this:

Source: Tarutha (IDX, KSEI, OJK, DJPPR), data as of 2026-09-11

Use the dataset's period or a field-level date such as as_of. Never use meta.ts: it is the time of the response, not the date of the data. Name only the sources that apply to the figure.

5. Source-specific conditions

  1. IDX (prices, indices, announcements, filings). Indicative end-of-day values from the public IDX daily summary and public announcement pages. Tarutha does not hold an IDX data licence. Do not redistribute these values as market data.
  2. KSEI, OJK, DJPPR, Bank Indonesia, PHEI. Public statistical publications. Cite the originating institution beside Tarutha.
  3. Yahoo Finance (fundamentals, pre-2020 price history). Best-effort convenience data. Do not redistribute.
  4. News. You receive headlines, links, publisher name, time, ticker tags and Tarutha's summary. Copyright in each article stays with its publisher. Link to the publisher when you show a headline.

6. Term

This licence lasts while your key is valid. When it ends, you may keep derived works you already made. Delete cached raw data within 30 days.

7. No warranty

The data is provided as is. Section 4 and section 9 of the Terms of Service apply.
